Meet the women of her heart rewritten.

Creating the women of The Love Me Better Series wasn’t that difficult at all actually. I originally started with three characters but as I was writing I decided on a fourth…Tayah. I knew I wanted them to be diverse but still a well rounded friend group. I wanted my readers to be able to relate to one, if not all of them. Read below for a more detailed description of each character..

Camryn Cain is the main character of book of the Love Me Better series. I wanted to showcase a flawed FMC (female main character) going through a journey of finding herself after heartbreak.

Throughout the book you’ll see that she doesn’t always get it right and also goes against her gut instinct more than once. That was the whole point. I wanted to show how flawed we can be when we’re dealing with the wrong partner and the decisions we make that don’t always lead to forever.

Without giving any spoilers away I wanted to show how our journey can shape us and send us on the correct path…if you allow it to. Camryn learns more about herself and learns to value herself at the end and the was the whole point.

Chanel Cain is Camryn’s younger sister. I wanted to showcase that they grew up close despite being different. The love and support they have for each other is unmatched. Chanel is more outspoken and carefree and says what she wants. I wanted to have a female character that lives how she wants and doesn’t care what others think.

I envisioned Chanel to resemble the rapper Saweetie as well as the actress Karruche Tran. That petite-curvy look.

Chanel’s story will be book two of the series and I can’t wait to give her a full story. We’ll dive into her relationship with J. Carter as well as Isaiah Banks and Malachi Walker—the man who gave her the blueprint.

Most of my beta readers really enjoyed Chanel, especially when it came to telling her sister the raw truth.

Jordan White has been Camryn’s best friend since high school. I wanted a character that was a little more serious, less emotional but still soft. Jordan is strong but kind and open. She’s always there for her friends despite her busy schedule and she stays optimistic about love despite the disasters she’s gone through. She loves living life and is looking for her equal.

When I first though of Jordan I envisioned the look of Meagan Good as well as Serayah Mcneill.

Her story will be book three in the series and I can’t wait to dive into her back story with Zaire as well as her dating woes from other men including Chris.

Tayah Moreau almost didn’t make this series. I thought of her after writing a couple of chapters and wanted a more feminine character to add to the series. I immediately thought of Lori Harvey. Tayah may be the new comer of the group but she fits in so well and adds an extra layer of support for Camryn that she didn’t realize she needed.

Tayah’s story will be the final book of the series. We’ll follow her journey with Trey Davis and Preston Holt as well as more on her disastrous affair that had her leaving Scottsdale.

I do not own any of these pictures. They are simply used as a reference to gain a better visual on the characters of my book.
